Donut made of dumortierite, 40 mm

Due to its late discovery in the second half of the 19th century, no synonyms exist for dumortierite. Significant occurrences can be found in South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique.
Its colour is mainly in the bluish range, with spotted drawings in all colour variations.
Its fame as a decorative and healing stone only came with the advent of donuts and other stone forms.


As a healing stone, the dumortierite promotes detachment, helps to take life easier and to get rid of obsessive behaviour patterns, alleviates depression and stress.
Dumortierite relieves headaches, cramps, diarrhoea and vomiting.
